Providers Supporting Parents

Support parents navigating their child's best possible health and development trajectory

Why Screen

AAP guidelines set a minimum standard but for children to thrive we need to promote, engage, screen, assess and drive actions that include parents, family, providers and the child's environment. The Family-Engaged Developmental Monitoring (FEDM) Roadmap is a great place to start. Child Nav provides the needed tools.

Child Nav IPS

Standard screenings are static and no one screening covers the breadth and depth of information required. Child Nav uses an Integrated Pediatric Screening (IPS) methodology to dynamically apply an array of standard measures as needed to screen and assess, driving the actions required for each child to navigate better.

Put Technology To Work

Connect, integrate and automate for effective and cost-effective solutions that meet parents and providers where they are at. Connect in clinics, early childhood centers, home visiting, call centers, portals, apps, or online via text or email, giving providers easy access to the information they need. The goal is to leave no child behind.

FEDM Roadmap

Family-Engaged Developmental Monitoring (FEDM) Roadmap

FEDM is defined as an intentional partnership of families and providers working to highlight a child's developmental progress and identify opportunities for support and education for positive outcomes. It is one component of an overall framework for Children's Healthy Development and Family Well-Being detailed in the roadmap. The full framework includes:

    Developmental Promotion
    Family-Engaged Developmental Monitoring (FEDM)
    Developmental and Autism Screening
    Referral for Services
    Receipt of Services

Child Nav technology solutions provide support for the full roadmap framework with actions that include reaching out to parents for more than just screenings.

Child Nav IPS

Integrated Pediatric Screening (IPS)

We use normative probabilistic evidence to dynamically compute prescreens, triggers and measures. This AI-based structured probability network methodology enables us to ask the optimal set of questions from standard screening tools, arriving at the best possible set of actions.

Don't worry, if all you need is a standard ASQ®, we can do that too. Child Nav IPS includes ASQ®, CDC-DMC, ASQ®:SE, SWYC, M-CHAT™-R, PEARLS, PCL-C, SCARED, PFQ, Vanderbilt ADHD, ESQ, EPDS and more with Child Nav items where needed.
Child Nav Technology

Connect, Integrate and Automate

Technology has changed everything. Static paper screenings are costly, labor intensive, don't gather all the information needed and require hand scoring which is inaccurate and error prone. Child Nav's dynamic Probabilistic Administration and Scoring (PAS) fixes all that while lowering costs and enabling connection to parents in-office or remote using their personal smartphone, tablet or PC. Providers and navigators no longer need to manage paper and can have easy access to information through their own data management systems.

Beyond screening, the ability to connect to parents remotely enables child and family specific actions that support the other components of the FEDM Roadmap. Automated integration and scheduling enables parent engagement at touchpoints well beyond direct contact with their provider. Profile and data connections enable result, flag and referral sharing for easy interface to other resources and services.

Child Nav products are highly configurable with standard configurations for clinics, agencies, Early Childhood centers, home visiting and call centers. These configurations are easily modified to meet the needs of your organization.

Connected Community Solutions

Contrary to conventional thinking, sustainable community solutions are built from the ground up. Organizations like Help Me Grow (HMG) provide the vision and promotion, for example the FEDM Roadmap, but the solution is built by connecting self-sustaining screening and services sites. Child Nav provides profile and data connections enabling medical clinics, early learning centers, home-visiting programs, Early Intervention and Child Find programs, as well as direct-to-parent applications to all work together. A community solution starts with a single site.
